The Team Training Camps hosted by Marci Jenkins Volleyball Camps are open to members of Varsity or Junior Varsity teams and provide each team an opportunity to train and compete together with a focus on improving both individual and team skills and strategies as part of their team’s preparation for their fall season.
Each team at the Team Training Camp will be assigned a court coach who will work with the team’s coach(es) to address each team’s specific needs. As part of the Team Training Camps, campers will experience both skill development and daily competitions to work on applying skills and strategies learned during training sessions. The final day of camp will contain sessions for match play.

Teams are trained by a Marci Jenkins Volleyball Camp counselor. Each team will have a half court to train with their team for training and competition. Coaches that want to coach their own team can indicate this option on their online application.
Chalk Talk sessions will be presented by the Virginia Tech Volleyball staff throughout the camp:

HOUSING & MEALS | |||||||
All meals will be on campus in one of the dining halls of Virginia Tech (ranked #2 in the country by www.niche.com). Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are included for all resident campers. Our commuter campers will have their lunches and dinners at the dining hall (note they will be responsible for their own breakfasts). Resident Campers will be staying overnight in one of the dorms on campus! Due to present protocols in place, campers will be responsible for bringing their own linens (bed sheets, blankets, bath towels, etc.). With regrets, the Housing and Residence Life of Virginia Tech will be unable to provide this service this summer. Parents and family members wishing to stay nearby are welcome to contact our host hotel, The Inn at Virginia Tech for a reduced rate of $125 per night. |

OTHER MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION | |||||||
We will have several of our counselors staying on site at the Inn at Virginia Tech overnight with the campers. They will additionally be escorting our campers to and from the hotel to the gym. An athletic trainer will be on site. Please bring athletic tape with you if you know that you require taping. A camp store will be available between sessions and after the evening session selling snacks, drinks, and camp T-shirts. |
